jaime´s book and other happy things

jaime´s  inspiring book has arrived today. Finally I have ciclamen at my window again and I have sent some lavender sachets to a friend who has opened a gift shop near Barcelona.

el precioso libro de jaime acaba de llegar. Ventana con ciclámenes, ya era hora... Y saquitos de lavanda para la tienda "Lula i Cocó" en Cerdanyola.

calcetines de otra época

I am working on my handmade and vintage Etsy shop. I hope I will open it on 14th December for my birthday.

haciendo fotografías para mi tienda Etsy. Habrán saquitos de hierbas y cosas viejunas ( no me gusta la palabra vintage), como los calcetines de las fotos que son de los años 20-30 del siglo pasado. A ver si la puedo abrir para el 14 de diciembre, el dia de mi cumpleaños.

maravillosos tocados en la tienda taller de Patricia en Getxo.

this paper has been a nice surprise. It is made of a recycled envelope, tissue, sage and santolina from aunties garden (the herbs of course!)

And here below at left, the santolina and sage paper and at right two leaves of the one that I made yesterday, with the pink pages of the diary,tissue, old cyclamen petal and lavender flowers.

Which one do you prefer?

dos papeles. Uno hecho con un sobre grandote, rescatado del cubo de reciclaje, kleenex, salvia y santolina del jardín de la tia.

Y el otro con el papel rosa que suelen llevar algunos periódicos, kleenex, pétalos de ciclamen, flores de lavanda  e hilos de colores. De este último hice dos hojas.

Los dos me gustan, pensaba que el primero quedaría mucho peor, que sería mucho mas basto, así que ha sido una agradable sorpresa.

the etsy shop

I have been working on my etsy shop project during all the weekend. Some ceramic buttons are waiting to be sewed on lavender sachets. I am in love with these buttons I bought them last summer at Els Encants in Barcelona.

este fin de semana he dejado de lado mi patchwork y me he dedicado a la futura tiendita etsy. Tengo ganas de hacer saquitos para coserles los botones de cerámica que compré en Els Encants el verano pasado.

calendula soap

the last week, while working at the All Saints campaign at the flower shop, a nice coworker offered me this calendula soap. This girl has a lot of allergies to a conservative and she has to make her own cosmetic products. I really like the sweet packaging.

la semana pasada una compañera del trabajo me regaló este jabón de caléndula. Todavía no lo he abierto, quería sacar la foto de recibo. Esta chica tiene alergia a un conservante que parece que se encuentra en la mayoría de las cremas, así que tiene que fabricarse ella misma todos sus cosméticos. Esta noche lo pruebo, seguro que me gusta.

the city family

today I have had a free day at work. We have done a little excursion to a mountain near Bilbao. It has been funny because it was raining all the time and we haven´t wear raincoats, well it´s funny now, while I am writing this post after a long hot shower. We are a city family.

por fin! Ya han pasado los terroríficos Santos (por el trabajo que tienen los floristas) y hoy he tenido mi primer dia de fiesta desde que empecé en el trabajo nuevo. Hemos aprovechado la ocasión y hemos subido al mítico (para los bilbainos) Pagasarri, que es un monte que hay aquí al lado. Hemos ido caminando desde casa y no ha parado de llover en toda la subida.  No solemos ir al monte así que no íbamos preparados y nos hemos calado, pero ha sido divertido.
